Your Korea planning brief

Costs, travel & aftercare

Compare a complete treatment plan—not an isolated promotional price. Use this checklist to get written answers before booking.

At a glance

The useful cost of blepharoplasty in Korea is the complete care-and-travel budget, not an advertised procedure price alone. Request a written quote for your exact operation in KRW, identify excluded fees, and add accommodation, transport, follow-up and a contingency for a longer stay. This site has no verified current clinic quotes from which to publish a market price range.

Request a quote you can compare

Ask each clinic to quote the same proposed procedure and to separate the surgeon’s fee, facility fee, anesthesia, tests, prescribed medication, tax and follow-up. Ask what is excluded, whether the quote may change after examination, and how long it remains valid.

This site does not publish an unsourced market-average price. Technique, additional procedures and the clinical assessment can change what is being quoted. A discount alone does not tell you whether two proposals cover the same care.

Confirm the international patient pathway

Ask which languages are available for the surgeon consultation, consent process and written aftercare. Clarify whether interpretation is included or charged separately. An English-language website does not by itself establish that an English-speaking clinician or interpreter will be available on your chosen date.

Ask for appointment dates and the required local stay before buying non-refundable flights. Include time for review and unexpected changes in the plan. Confirm transport after sedation, accommodation needs and whether someone should accompany you.

Put the policies in writing

Request the deposit, cancellation and refund terms before paying. Ask how revision requests are assessed, whether additional surgery attracts new fees and whether costs such as accommodation or flights are excluded. Keep copies of the quote, consent documents and discharge instructions.

Before you leave, confirm the contact route for postoperative questions, the limits of remote follow-up and who will provide hands-on care in your home country if needed. These are planning questions; they are not claims about services offered by every listed clinic.

Your consultation questions

Can you send a fully itemized quote in KRW?
Who interprets the consultation and consent discussion?
What are the cancellation and revision policies?
Which appointments must take place before my departure?
What care can you provide once I am back in my home country?

How to compare Korea with treatment at home

Keep the operation scope identical when comparing quotes. Upper-lid skin surgery, crease creation, lower-lid fat repositioning and a combined revision plan are not interchangeable purchases. Record the currency, quote date and what may change after examination.

Build separate lines for clinical fees, travel and accommodation, interpretation, aftercare at home and unexpected additional costs. Compare the complete arrangements, including who can examine you if a problem develops, rather than converting a promotional headline into your home currency.

Planning from the United States, United Kingdom or Australia

For US patients, the CDC advises discussing overseas care with your own healthcare professional and checking domestic insurance coverage. Ask for English-language medical records to support later care.

For UK patients, NHS guidance emphasizes meeting the treating surgeon and arranging where follow-up and any additional treatment will take place. For Australian patients, Smartraveller recommends checking the provider, facility, procedure and insurance before departure. These are home-country planning resources, not endorsements of a particular Korean clinic.

Check insurance for planned treatment, not just travel

Ask the insurer specifically about travel for elective surgery, complications, changes to flights, additional accommodation and medical evacuation. Do not assume an ordinary travel policy covers those situations. Keep written confirmation of what is and is not included.

Ask the clinic separately about its own coverage and the process for reporting a problem. Insurance, clinic revision policies and your access to care at home are different arrangements; each needs a clear answer.

Patient questions, answered

Can I compare clinics using the advertised starting price?

Only as an initial enquiry. Request the same operation scope and a full written quote from each clinic, then compare exclusions, aftercare and possible additional costs.

Should I book a non-refundable flight before consultation?

First confirm the assessment process, proposed operation, review schedule and required local stay. Keep flexibility if the plan changes after examination or recovery takes longer than expected.

Will travel insurance automatically cover cosmetic surgery complications?

Do not assume so. Ask the insurer about the planned procedure and complications specifically, and obtain written confirmation before committing to travel.
